He was presented with a recognition plaque highlighting his contributions to athletes and sports development.
The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, and the Minister of Sports, Francisco Camacho, presented a recognition plaque to businessman Felipe Vicini for his contributions to sports in the Dominican Republic.
He was also recognized for the impact his initiatives have had in helping the Dominican Republic achieve the best participation in the history of the Olympic Games.
The president presented a plaque highlighting Vicini’s “contributions to the athletes and the development of Dominican sports.”
The plaque was presented during the welcoming ceremony upon the return of the Dominican delegation to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
The recognition plaque, received by representatives of all CRESO‘s partner companies, highlights the value that Vicini’s initiatives have achieved, thus encouraging other private sector companies to join in supporting sports.
The plaque highlights “the valuable business initiatives such as the Creando Sueños Olímpicos (CRESO) program and the Dominican Olympic Baseball Program (ProBéisbol), whose benefits have been demonstrated with the historic winning of 5 medals at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.“
Vicini thanked the courtesy of the President and the Ministry of Sports, and stated that it is in the interest of the private sector to continue working hand in hand with the State in the development of sports and the creation of leaders who will become role models for young people.
